Equal and Complete
Equality and completeness are not important for all musicians. In fact, most improvisers and many composers are more interested in inequality and incompleteness. They may even want to be free of any formal constraints whatever. But that is another world that has nothing to do with what we are doing here. Here we want to recognize that equality and completeness can be two of the most satisfying qualities in harmony, and in fact, in all kinds of art. (...)
